U.S. forces carried out a lethal kinetic strike on June 3 against a vessel in the Eastern Pacific that was operated by Designated Terrorist Organizations, resulting in the deaths of two male narco-terrorists, the command said. No U.S. military personnel were harmed.
The operation was conducted by Joint Task Force Southern Spear under the direction of Gen. Francis L. Donovan, commander of U.S. Southern Command.
Intelligence had confirmed the vessel was moving along known narco-trafficking routes in the region and was engaged in narco-trafficking operations, the command said.
