The Navy has launched an upgraded Virtual Single Sailor Program (VSSP) platform intended to make it easier for junior and single Sailors to find Morale, Welfare and Recreation programs, resources, and activities no matter where they serve, according to Navy Installations Command.

“Quality of Service is about improving the everyday experience of serving in the Navy and ensuring Sailors have access to programs that support their well-being, resiliency and connection to one another,” said Vice Adm. Scott Gray, commander, Navy Installations Command. “The relaunch of the Virtual Single Sailor Program is another step in our continued effort to provide junior and single Sailors with meaningful opportunities and resources, wherever they serve.”

The redesigned site centralizes access to installation activities, virtual events, recreation opportunities, and quality-of-life resources worldwide. “The enhanced VSSP website provides junior and single Sailors with a single destination to access MWR programs and resources regardless of where they are serving,” said Jess Donnelly, VSSP program manager. “By expanding access to information and virtual engagement opportunities, we are strengthening connections across the Fleet and supporting our Sailors’ quality of life.”

To mark the rollout, VSSP will host a Fleetwide engagement event on July 31 featuring complimentary midnight screenings of “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” for eligible Sailors in paygrades E-1 through E-6 at 14 Navy MWR theaters in the continental United States and overseas. Registration is required, tickets are first-come, first-served, and more than 1,000 Sailors signed up within the first four days of registration, the command said.

More information and access to the new platform are available at www.navymwrsinglesailor.com.

Navy Installations Command oversees shore installation management across 10 regions and 71 installations, with more than 48,600 employees supporting infrastructure sustainment and quality-of-life programs that enable Fleet operations. More on CNIC is available at www.cnic.navy.mil.
