U.S. Africa Command said it conducted an airstrike targeting ISIS-Somalia on Feb. 14, 2026, in coordination with the Federal Government of Somalia.
The strike took place in the vicinity of the Golis Mountains, approximately 65 kilometers southeast of Bossaso.
The command said it, alongside the Federal Government of Somalia and Somali Armed Forces, is taking action to degrade ISIS-Somalia’s ability to threaten the U.S. homeland, American forces, and citizens abroad.
