DALLAS — More than 150 Lockheed Martin suppliers gathered in Dallas this week with Department of War (DoW) officials for the inaugural Munitions Acceleration Supplier Conference, a forum focused on how industry can work together to deliver munitions at speed and scale. Participants included suppliers supporting programs that have announced significant munitions ramps, including PAC-3 MSE, THAAD and PrSM.
The conference will continue as a monthly series, alternating between in-person and virtual sessions, as the defense industrial base collaborates to build the Arsenal of Freedom in support of American and allied warfighters. The effort includes continued investment by Lockheed Martin and suppliers under DoW’s new Acquisition Transformation Strategy.
Lockheed Martin said it is investing $8 billion to $9 billion through 2030 and is already applying that funding to scale munitions production, upgrade or build more than 20 facilities across the United States, and strengthen the existing supply chain by developing new second sources for key parts needed to achieve munition acceleration rates.
