QUANTICO, Va. — The Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency is teaming with the U.S. Army to deliver an Army-focused breakout session on Aug. 28, capping a three-day virtual DCSA Security Conference for the Department of Defense scheduled for Aug. 26–28.
The conference centers on integrating mission and security disciplines and is expected to draw a broad cross-section of security professionals from across the Defense Department. The Army breakout, designed for participants affiliated with the service, will cover a slate of topics selected by Army leadership, including continuous transformation, personnel security, continuous vetting, insider threat, and foreign disclosure.
Registration is open for both the main conference and the Army-specific session, with details available on the event’s official website. Army personnel and other affiliates using .mil, .edu, or .gov email addresses are eligible to enroll in the breakout.
DCSA leads personnel vetting and industrial security efforts across the Defense Department and provides training and guidance to government and industry partners. The agenda’s emphasis on continuous vetting and insider threat reflects ongoing modernization in clearance processes and the push to more rapidly identify and mitigate risk.
The virtual format is intended to extend participation across installations and time zones, with the Army session serving as a tailored forum for service-specific policies, practices, and emerging requirements.
