Christine Bordine has been selected as the next deputy director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, the agency announced from Joint Base Anacostia–Bolling. She will succeed Suzanne White, who previously served as DIA’s chief of staff and chief financial officer before becoming deputy director.
Bordine currently serves at the National Security Agency as deputy director of the Directorate of Capabilities, where she leads a global, multisector workforce of about 14,000. Her prior assignments include deputy director for intelligence at U.S. Cyber Command, vice deputy director for collection management, and vice principal deputy director for intelligence integration at DIA—making the move a return to the agency.
“We are thrilled to be joined by such a world-class leader, and we are eager to see all of the incredible things Ms. Bordine will do to support our global mission during her tenure at the agency,” Lt. Gen. Jeffrey Kruse said. “Welcome back to DIA.”
Kruse also thanked White for her service. “Suzanne, thank you for your dedicated service to this agency,” Lt Gen. Kruse said. “You made an indelible mark on our mission and people, and we wish you success in your future endeavors.”
DIA is the Defense Department’s all-source military intelligence agency, supporting warfighters, defense planners, and national security leaders. The deputy director helps oversee agency operations and execution of strategic priorities across the defense intelligence enterprise.
