LSE 2025 is conducted by the Navy and Marine Corps from July 30 to Aug. 8 and integrates participants from six Navy and Marine Corps component commands and seven U.S. numbered Fleets across 22 time zones. The exercise demonstrates how the naval force synchronizes operations on a global scale and tests new warfare concepts in multiple domains.

“LSE is an important exercise in that it acknowledges the global nature of conflict with our near peer adversaries and provides a forum for the 4 Star Fleet Commanders to coordinate across their geographic areas and responsibilities.”

It is intended to refine how the Navy and Marine Corps synchronize maritime operations on a global scale and provides an avenue for the development and testing of alternative warfare concepts.

“LSE 25 builds our Fleet readiness and tests our capabilities,” Kilby said. “We’re preparing our Sailors and Marines for real-world operations that demand agility, integration and decisive action.”

LSE 2025 builds on lessons from Fleet Battle Problems and other advanced training evolutions, focusing on improving naval integration across land, air, sea, space, and cyberspace. These efforts reinforce the Navy-Marine Corps team’s ability to fight jointly and decisively.

As the Navy continues to evolve, exercises like LSE 2025 lay the groundwork for future large-scale training events that prepare the force for high-end maritime conflict.
