Singapore — ST Engineering’s Commercial Aerospace business and Collins Aerospace, an RTX business, have signed three multi-year agreements that expand their collaboration on component repairs, spare parts procurement and lifecycle support for airline operators. The arrangements integrate original equipment manufacturing and maintenance, repair and overhaul capabilities to provide faster, more reliable turnaround on aircraft components.
The new scope includes repair services by ST Engineering for Collins fan assembly electronics boards used on the Boeing 787, aiming to reduce Line Replaceable Unit repair turnaround times and increase efficiency through repair-over-replacement solutions. The companies also extended and broadened a multi-platform agreement for ST Engineering to procure new Power & Controls spare parts from Collins for its LRU component MRO operations, adding more narrowbody aircraft components to enable OEM-standard repair support. In addition, they extended lifecycle repair support for Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 family LRUs through Collins’ aftermarket support programme, FlightSense™.
“Our longstanding relationship with Collins Aerospace brings together its OEM expertise and ST Engineering’s lifecycle MRO and comprehensive asset management strengths to better support airline operators worldwide,” said Poon Kok Wah, SVP and Head of Component Services at ST Engineering. “The expanded scope of these agreements deepens our collaboration and enhances the value of our Maintenance-By-the-Hour™ programme, in-house component MRO capabilities for the 787, 737 MAX and A320neo and distribution and material services. Together, these capabilities provide customers with broader repair coverage, reliable component support and responsive lifecycle solutions.”
“Expanding our collaboration with ST Engineering allows us to better support the aviation ecosystem with agile and high-standard MRO solutions,” said Jen Latka, vice president of Aftermarket, Power & Controls, Collins Aerospace. “These lifecycle and repair programmes ensure that operators worldwide benefit from maximised component efficiency and enhanced fleet performance.”
