3d MLG and ROK allies to conduct combined logistics exercise CJLOTS 26

CAMP MUJUK, South Korea — U.S. Marines and Sailors with the 3d Marine Logistics Group, working alongside Republic of Korea counterparts and U.S. joint force partners, will conduct a Combined Joint Logistics Over-the-Shore exercise at Dogu Beach in Pohang from July 10 to 20.

The event focuses on moving military cargo from ships offshore to an undeveloped shoreline, with temporary port facilities enabling the delivery of vehicles, equipment, and supplies. Organizers characterize the training as defense-oriented and aimed at demonstrating alliance readiness, while reinforcing and validating a critical expeditionary logistics capability tied to the Stand-in Force’s ability to project and sustain power.

Identified as CJLOTS 26, the exercise is framed as consistent with the 1953 ROK-U.S. Mutual Defense Treaty and intended to bolster the alliance’s role in regional peace and security. The unit emphasized it remains forward and engaged, with a continuing commitment to the defense of the Republic of Korea.
