FORT SILL, Okla. — U.S. soldiers from the 75th Field Artillery Brigade and the Singapore Armed Forces wrapped up Exercise Daring Warrior 2026 with a joint live-fire operation on Sept. 22, capping a month of bilateral training focused on tactical integration and interoperability.
The annual exercise brings Singaporean High Mobility Artillery Rocket System crews to Fort Sill to train and certify alongside U.S. Army field artillery formations. This year’s iteration emphasized hands-on, combined execution, with Singaporean crews working shoulder to shoulder with the brigade throughout planning, rehearsals, and execution.
“Things are going really well,” said Army Maj. Micah Thompson, the operations officer for the 3rd Battalion, 13th Field Artillery Regiment. “Both sides are rehearsing techniques that we would employ operationally. We are exposing both U.S. and Singaporean soldiers to each other’s techniques and deepening the relationship it takes to execute complex operations.”
To tighten coordination at every echelon, the brigade integrated specialized support units into daily operations. Fire support teams shared observation posts with Singaporean strike observer mission teams to spot and adjust fires, while U.S. radar and meteorological elements fed real-time atmospheric data into the network, enabling both forces to operate as a single, synchronized team. For the 3rd Battalion, 13th Field Artillery Regiment, the training gave Bravo Battery a chance to sharpen crew precision and reinforce rocket artillery fundamentals under demanding field conditions. Safety personnel from both nations worked in concert across ranges to maintain strict controls and precision during live events.
“This exercise allows us to foster positive relationships with our partners,” Thompson said. “Specifically, for this training, we get to practice interoperability both for fire-mission processing and to rehearse the logistical partnership needed to facilitate partner nation live-fire operations.”
The final event brought Multiple Launch Rocket Systems from Bravo Battery and Singaporean HIMARS together for coordinated fires using joint radar and weather data. The performance validated individual crew readiness and underscored III Armored Corps’ commitment to building lethal, combat-credible forces with global partners. Training side by side as equals, the two forces forged a unified, combat-ready front, reinforcing the brigade’s readiness to deliver decisive fires worldwide.
