The Air Force has selected 499 active-duty officers for promotion to colonel following the P0626A Central Selection Board, which evaluated candidates across the Line of the Air Force developmental categories A, N, I, C, F and X.
In total, 1,362 officers were considered, yielding an overall selection rate of about 36.6 percent. By category:
– LAF-A: 202 selected out of 659 considered (about 30.7 percent)
– LAF-N: 13 selected out of 49 considered (about 26.5 percent)
– LAF-I: 97 selected out of 248 considered (about 39.1 percent)
– LAF-C: 105 selected out of 241 considered (about 43.6 percent)
– LAF-F: 59 selected out of 119 considered (about 49.6 percent)
– LAF-X: 23 selected out of 46 considered (50 percent)
