Joint Task Force Southern Spear carried out a lethal strike on May 4 against a vessel operated by designated terrorist organizations, acting under the direction of Gen. Francis L. Donovan, the commander of U.S. Southern Command, the command said.
Intelligence indicated the vessel was moving along known narco-trafficking routes in the Caribbean and taking part in narco-trafficking operations. Two men described as narco-terrorists were killed, and no U.S. military personnel were injured, according to the command.
