The Department of War’s Office of the Assistant Secretary of War for Industrial Base Policy has launched an Investment Intelligence Center website that offers an interactive, public view of more than $6.7 billion in Defense Production Act and Industrial Base Analysis and Sustainment investments since 2015, aimed at securing and expanding domestic supply chains through onshoring and reduced reliance on adversarial sources.
“A resilient defense industrial base requires transparent partnerships between the government and the private sector,” said Assistant Secretary of War for Industrial Base Policy Hon. Mike Cadenazzi. “By openly mapping our DPA and IBAS investments, we are sending a clear demand signal to industry and private capital markets about our most critical national security priorities.”
The site centralizes information on efforts across the United States to harness innovation and address critical supply chain vulnerabilities, offering geographic and sector-based views intended to boost transparency for congressional stakeholders, defense analysts, and private-sector partners.
Users can explore three visualizations—an interactive map, a Mekko chart, and a keyword portfolio search—with filters for technology sector, year, location, and funding mechanism. Together, these tools present a comprehensive picture of the department’s investment trajectory.
Industry partners, researchers, and the public can access the IBP Investment Intelligence Center at: https://www.businessdefense.gov/investments.html
The Office of the Assistant Secretary of War for Industrial Base Policy works with domestic and international partners to help build and sustain a robust, secure, and resilient industrial base to support the warfighter now and in the future.
