Marine Gen. Francis L. Donovan, commander of U.S. Southern Command, issued a statement offering condolences to the people of Venezuela after devastating earthquakes.
“On behalf of U.S. Southern Command, I extend our profound sympathies to the people of Venezuela following the devastating earthquakes. Our thoughts are with the families mourning loved ones, those who have been injured, and the heroic rescue workers laboring tirelessly in the aftermath. In this time of adversity, you are not alone.”
Donovan’s message underscored sympathy for victims and support for rescue workers responding to the disaster.
