Hundreds of JTF-SB service members and associated equipment are repositioning to the Rio Grande Valley this week to strengthen border security operations, expand the joint force’s ability to respond to threats, and support federal law enforcement partners working along the Rio Grande.

Operation Unified Resolve is designed to increase patrol capacity, reinforce key areas, add monitoring and detection capabilities, and bolster security at critical locations in support of the Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

The effort is part of the broader Operation Ardent Vanguard, through which JTF-SB continues to provide military capabilities in support of protecting U.S. sovereignty at the Southern Border.
