U.S. Southern Command said its forces carried out a lethal kinetic strike on April 14 against a vessel in the Eastern Pacific operated by Designated Terrorist Organizations, killing four men described as narco-terrorists. No U.S. military personnel were harmed.
The operation was conducted by Joint Task Force Southern Spear at the direction of Gen. Francis L. Donovan, commander of U.S. Southern Command.
Intelligence confirmed the vessel was transiting along known narco-trafficking routes in the Eastern Pacific and was engaged in narco-trafficking operations, the command said.
