The Department of War today released an updated list of “Chinese military companies” operating directly or indirectly in the United States, compiled in accordance with Section 1260H of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021 and posted on the Public Inspection Issue of the Federal Register.
Following its due diligence, the department identified 188 entities that meet the statutory criteria for inclusion on the latest 1260H list. Officials said the list will be updated with additional entities as appropriate, and that the United States Government reserves the right to take further actions on these entities under authorities other than Section 1260H.
