U.S. wraps up 13th night of strikes on Iranian military sites

U.S. Central Command forces have carried out a series of strikes against Iranian military assets, marking the culmination of their 13th consecutive night of operations. The strikes, which occurred on July 23 at 9 p.m. ET, targeted various facilities including military command centers, drone storage locations, communication networks, coastal surveillance sites, and maritime capabilities. These actions are part of ongoing efforts to reduce the threat that Iran poses to civilian mariners and commercial vessels navigating the critical Strait of Hormuz.

Despite the backdrop of recent attacks attributed to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the Strait of Hormuz remains open for transit. Commercial vessels are reportedly continuing to navigate the route without significant interference, aided by the presence of U.S. military support in the region.

Currently, over 50,000 U.S. service members are deployed across the Middle East, illustrating the ongoing military commitment to maintaining stability and security in the area.
