USNORTHCOM and JIATF-401 launch Falcon Peak 26.2 experiment at Yuma Proving Ground

PETERSON SPACE FORCE BASE, Colo. — U.S. Northern Command, working with JIATF-401, will conduct the Falcon Peak 26.2 (FP26.2) Counter-small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-sUAS) experiment and demonstration from Aug. 31 to Sept. 25, 2026.

The event marks the fourth iteration of the Falcon Peak experiment and the first to take place at Yuma Proving Ground in Yuma, Arizona.

Designed to address the unique challenges of C-sUAS at the Southern Border, the effort will showcase new technologies, expand the focus on low-collateral defeat capabilities, and strengthen collaboration with mission partners. It will also provide industry with immediate feedback to speed the maturation of innovation capabilities with Department of War-wide applicability.
