ARLINGTON, Va., April 29, 2026 — RTX has been recognized as a global leader in innovation in 2026, ranking as the leading aerospace and defense organization on three major lists: the Clarivate Top 100 Global Innovators, the Harrity Patent Analytics Patent 300 List and the European Patent Office Patent Index.

“Innovation is a core tenet of RTX culture,” said Juan de Bedout, chief technology officer of RTX. “Every day, our engineers, scientists and researchers are solving complex global challenges, developing the breakthrough technologies that will continue to define the future of aerospace and defense.”

The company reports investing more than $7 billion annually in company- and customer-funded research and development and holding a portfolio of over 60,000 patents. Its investments span advanced materials and manufacturing, artificial intelligence and machine learning, autonomy, electrification, advanced sensing and propulsion systems.

RTX characterized the recognitions as reinforcing its leadership in aerospace and defense and its focus on developing next-generation technologies.
