ATLANTA — The Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency used the NCMS Annual Training Seminar in Atlanta from June 8–11 to gather feedback from industry, troubleshoot issues on the spot, and outline updates across personnel vetting and industrial security, according to the agency.

DCSA said representatives from its Office of Customer Success, National Background Investigation Services (NBIS), Personnel Vetting, and Industrial Security met with security professionals throughout the event. Discussions with Facility Security Officers and industry leaders focused on topics including NBIS, the Defense Information System for Security, and reciprocity policies.

“DCSA’s presence was a true difference maker,” said Eric Crytzer of the Industry Liaison team. “More than 1,000 personnel attended our [Industry Liaison] Personnel Security Updates brief and we sat down with more than 300 attendees at our help desk—a 43% increase in foot traffic from 2025! Feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive and appreciative, and we’re already looking forward to next year’s event in Dallas.”

The agency said briefings by Mike Faller on NBIS drew more than 400 participants, while additional sessions covered National Industrial Security Program operations, facility security clearances and sponsorships, and the National Access Elsewhere Security Oversight Center.

Attendees highlighted the value of receiving real-time assistance and guidance from DCSA staff, according to the agency. DCSA framed the outreach as part of its broader push to place customers at the center of its transformation efforts and to reinforce collaboration and accountability across the security enterprise.
