U.S. Southern Command said Joint Task Force Southern Spear conducted a lethal kinetic strike on a vessel in the Eastern Pacific on May 29 at the direction of Gen. Francis L. Donovan, killing three men it described as narco-terrorists. No U.S. military personnel were harmed.
The command said the vessel was operated by Designated Terrorist Organizations. “Intelligence confirmed the vessel was transiting along known narco-trafficking routes in the Eastern Pacific and was engaged in narco-trafficking operations,” it said.
“SOUTHCOM is unwavering in its commitment to applying total systemic friction on the cartels.”
