U.S. Southern Command said Joint Task Force Southern Spear conducted a lethal strike on May 30 against a vessel in the Eastern Pacific under the direction of its commander, Gen. Francis L. Donovan. The vessel was described as being operated by groups designated as terrorist organizations.
The command said intelligence confirmed the vessel was transiting known narco‑trafficking routes and engaged in narco‑trafficking operations. Three male individuals described by the command as narco‑terrorists were killed, and no U.S. military personnel were harmed.
