Amentum selected to support critical infrastructure and platforms under new engineering services framework

Amentum has joined Babcock International Group’s five-year Engineering Services Framework, positioning the company to support nuclear, marine, land, aviation and mission systems for the UK Armed Forces in the UK and overseas.

The framework is designed to forge longer-term partnerships with key suppliers while simplifying and speeding the route for bringing specialist engineering expertise into major defence programs. It allows suppliers to move more quickly across multiple projects, improving procurement efficiency and collaboration.

The award builds on Amentum’s long-running infrastructure support at Devonport Royal Dockyard, His Majesty’s Naval Base Clyde and the Rosyth Royal Dockyard. It paves the way for continued and future work on critical UK defence and submarine programs, alongside wider platform and infrastructure support across the nuclear, marine, land and air domains.

Amentum’s offerings span program, project and engineering solutions, including requirements management; architectural design and building services; multi‑disciplinary design engineering across marine, civil and structural, electrical, control and instrumentation, and mechanical disciplines; and specialist support such as safety case authoring, Human Factors, 3D Building Information Modelling, geotechnical studies, seismic and blast assessment, and Independent Technical Assessment. The company also provides research and technology services, safety case and security support for the Royal Navy’s nuclear propulsion systems.
